On January 28th, the JK-1st grade group took an exciting trip to the Chesterfield Fire Station to meet the men and women tasked with serving their community as firefighters. During the tour, our Jacks & Jills learned the purpose of the station's three trucks (engine truck, ladder truck, & and rescue/special operations truck). They were intrigued by the fun facts shared with them and equally engaged as they followed the firefighters around the trucks for up-close demonstrations. Following the tour around the bay, our Jacks & Jills were welcomed into the firefighters' living space where they eat and rest as a family. At the end of the visit, the children received firefighter souvenirs.
