PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Greetings,

It is with a warm and grateful heart that I greet you as I begin my second term as President of the Richmond Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. On behalf of the more than 65 mothers in the Remarkable Richmond Chapter, it is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to our website. We are thrilled that you desire to learn more about Jack and Jill of America and the Richmond Chapter. We take pride in being a shining example of the vision of our founder, Marion Stubbs Thomas, who desired an organization designed to “stimulate social and cultural relationships between our children.”

As we reflect on our chapters over 70 years of working and serving in the Richmond community, we look forward to working together as a group of mothers to carry forth our mission to nurture African-American leaders, as envisioned by our Sister-Mother trailblazers. The families of the Richmond Chapter are an integral part of our vibrant African-American community. This program year we will continue to keep our mission of developing leadership skills in our youth, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty in the forefront as we Dream B.I.G.. The past year brought much uncertainty to our community, however, we will continue to Build relationships, Invest in our children and communities and Give and share our time and resources. These changing times call for nothing less. We have Stepped into 70 with grace and class and are not looking back.

Thank you for your interest in Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and the Richmond Chapter!

Yours in Service,

Chris Carlisle

Richmond Chapter President
